The Invitation

This was our wedding invitation that we sent out to all of our friends in Second Life.

SL Community Christian Church

This is the church where we got married in Second Life. We searched all of SL and there were many beautiful places that we could have got married at. We found huge Cathedrals, tropical islands, outdoor wooded settings...even our own backyard, but we chose this small cozy church for our ceremony because it was just so darned cute. And we really liked the "pastor". And we later learned that he lives not far from us in real life. Such a small world!

The Church

This is a picture of the church at night. It was built over water, and you can see the moon reflecting in the water around it.

Inside the church

I kept the decorations simple. Just a beautiful archway and the carpet with flower petals going down the aisle.

Before the Wedding

The day of the wedding was almost as stressful as a real life wedding. I had the day off of work to decorate and work on last minute details, but Jon had to work. And as the time for the ceremony got closer...and he wasn't home from work yet...i was a nervous wreck. He finally made it home about an hour before the wedding. This is a picture of us when he finally logged into the game. We were at our house for one last hug and kiss before he left for the church and I started getting ready.

Getting dressed for the wedding was kinda wierd. It wasn't like a real life wedding where you are surrounded by your mom, sister, aunts, and friends. No one was there to make sure everything was just right. But I managed to get ready...and took a few pictures before arriving at the church.

It took forever for me to find the perfect wedding dress. They were all either too poofy...not poofy enough...or just plain ugly. This is the beautiful dress that I finally chose. And it showed off my tattoo beautifully....lol.

The Ceremony

Finally...the moment we've been waiting for. After getting dressed...i arrived at the church. Goth and the pastor waited at the alter while I nervously walked down the aisle alone.

We DO!

In the presence of our closet friends and one real life family member, we said our "I do's". We even wrote our own vows. It was so beautiful. The following were the vows that we wrote together:

I, ______, take you, _______ to be my husband/wife, my partner in life, and my one true love. I know that our love is heaven sent, and I will cherish our union and love you more each day than i did the day before. I will trust you and respect you, laugh with you and cry with you, loving you faithfully through good times and bad, regardless of the obstacles we may face together. I give you my hand, my heart, and my love from this day forward as long as we both shall live.

It was a perfect kiss for a perfect wedding....and a perfect couple!

The Guests

These are our friends that attended our wedding. A few of our closest friends didn't get to attend, which was a big disappointment, but real life comes first...so we understood.

As we walked down the aisle as SL Husband and Wife, our friends stood to cheer and congratulate us.

The Reception

Since the church was kind of small, we decided to have the reception in our backyard. We own a huge peice of land that includes a park with a pond and waterfall, a beach, a pool that is great for parties, and of course our house. We set up the reception near the pool area. The plan was to have a pool party after the ceremony...but not many people could hang around afterwards. Real life duties come first...we were just glad that they could at least join us for the ceremony.

The Wedding Cake

The wedding cake was beautiful. The flowers on the cake matched the flowers in the bouquet.

The Sunset Reception

The reception was at a perfect time. There was a beautiful sunset to create a romantic atmosphere.

We had the pool area decorated and the bar fully stocked. Plenty of food and drinks for everyone!

Well, here we are! Mr. and Mrs.......uh...well....you can't change your last name in SL. So....Mrs. Jinger Curie...and Mr. Gothotta Zander...lol.
